Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is an operation performed to reshape the nose aesthetically. In this surgery, while the nose is shaped aesthetically, the patient’s breathing problems, if any, are also eliminated. From the point of rhinoplasty, an ideal nose is the one that is in harmony with the person’s facial structure, looks natural and does not cause any respiratory problems, without any sign of a plastic surgery. Rhinoplasty can be performed in two methods as the closed and open techniques.

Micro Cold Rhinoplasty

Since there is no soft tissue or vascular damage in this operation technology, which was developed in Switzerland, postoperative pain and swelling are less compared to the classical method and other device-based surgeries, while bruising is almost non-existent.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Patients who had aesthetic nose surgery before but did not have the desired result may need a second, third or subsequent surgery, which is called revision or corrective rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty with 3D Crisalix

3D crisalix is a three-dimensional imaging system. Three-dimensional images of the patient are taken by use of a special device and transferred to the computer, after which the operations planned to be performed during the surgery are firstly applied on these pictures in 3D. In this way, before the operation, patients have the opportunity to see the nose they will have after surgery from all angles and in three dimensions.

Rhinoplasty for Men

Rhinoplasty is different for men when compared to women.

In male rhinoplasty, the important is thing is to correct any existing defect of the nose while preserving the masculine appearance without changing the original facial expression. In order not to create a feminine appearance, the interventions made to the lip nose angle, nasal dorsum and nasal bones differ from female rhinoplasty.

Surgery Process in Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. The duration of the operation varies between 1 and 3 hours, while this period may be longer in revision surgeries. At the end of the surgery, a silicone pad is placed inside the patient’s nose and a plastic plaster is placed on the nasal dorsum. Depending on the circumstances, the patient can be discharged on the same day, or the next day if desired.
